# Understanding BurgerPrints' custom branding services

### Overview

BurgerPrints' custom branding services help you add branded elements to your orders and create a more personalized customer experience.

BurgerPrints supports two types of custom branding services: On-demand custom branding and Bulk custom branding. Currently, on-demand custom branding is available with selected sticker options, while Bulk custom branding services will be introduced gradually.

This article explains how each service type works, what is currently available, and the requirements for using custom branding with your orders.

### About custom branding services

#### What are custom branding services?

Custom branding is a group of optional fulfillment services that allow you to include customized branding materials with your BurgerPrints orders.

You can use your own logo, artwork, messaging, or other brand elements to create a more personalized fulfillment experience.

Custom branding can help you:

* Strengthen your brand identity beyond the printed product.
* Add branded elements to customer packages.
* Create a more consistent unboxing experience.
* Make your orders more recognizable and personalized.

#### Custom branding service types

BurgerPrints provides two types of custom branding services:

The available services, fulfillment requirements, artwork specifications, and setup process may vary between the two service types.

### About on-demand custom branding services

On-demand custom branding allows you to add a supported branding item directly while creating an order.

You do not need to prepare or store branding materials in advance. Simply select the service, upload the required artwork, and BurgerPrints will produce the branding item together with the eligible order.

Currently, on-demand custom branding services are available under **Additional Services** during order creation.

#### Available on-demand custom branding services

The following options are currently available:

For each selected service, you can upload your own artwork for BurgerPrints to produce and include with the order.

More on-demand custom branding services will be added gradually.

#### Service requirements

The currently available services are subject to the following fulfillment requirements:

* All items within the same order must be fulfilled by **Matterhorn**.
* If an order contains products fulfilled by Matterhorn together with products from another fulfillment facility, custom branding services will not be available.
* If an order is split into multiple packages, each selected custom branding item is produced and charged once, then included with the package containing the first item.

If your order meets the requirements, the supported services will automatically appear under **Additional Services**.

#### How to add on-demand custom branding to a manual order

**Step 1: Create your order**

* Create an order in BurgerPrints as usual. *Learn more about how to create an order on BurgerPrints* [*HERE*](/orders-production-and-fulfillment/orders/how-to-create-an-order-on-burgerprints.md)
* Select Matterhorn as the Fulfillment Facility to use custom branding

* Add the shipping information to your order. Once shipping is completed, you will be taken to the final step: **Finalize Order**.

* On the **Finalize Order** page, scroll down to the **Additional Services** section to view the available custom branding options.

**Step 2: Select a custom branding service**

Under **Additional Services**, you can select and use multiple custom branding services at the same time.

After you select a service, an **Upload** option will appear.

**Step 3: Upload your artwork**

Click **Upload** to open the design upload window.

Follow the artwork requirements displayed for the selected service.

The upload window may include:

* Required design dimensions
* File format requirements
* Design guidelines
* Design templates
* Product specifications
* Sample images

Upload your artwork according to these requirements.

If your artwork does not meet the required specifications, BurgerPrints will display an error and ask you to upload another file.

**Tip:** Always review the design requirements for the specific branding service before preparing your artwork, as requirements may vary between services.

**Step 4: Review your design**

After the upload is successful, your file will appear under the selected service.

You can open the uploaded file to review it before placing the order.If you want to use a different design:

1. Remove the existing file by clicking the **×** icon next to it.
2. Click **Upload** again.
3. Upload the replacement artwork.

Only **one artwork file** can be used for each selected branding service.

**Step 5: Place your order**

Once the required artwork has been uploaded successfully, continue with payment and place your order.

If you select a custom branding service but do not upload the required design, BurgerPrints will not allow the order to be placed.

You must either:

* Upload the required artwork, or
* Deselect the service.

#### How to add on-demand custom branding to CSV/API orders

Custom branding can also be added to supported CSV or API orders through the **Additional Services** field.

Use the following format:

`Sticker 2x2: DESIGN_URL`

For multiple services, separate them with commas:

`Sticker 2x2: DESIGN_URL, Sticker 3x3: DESIGN_URL`

Currently supported custom branding values are:

* `Sticker 2x2: URL`
* `Sticker 3x3: URL`
* `Sticker 3x4: URL`

Replace `URL` with a valid link to the artwork for the selected service.

**Notes:**

* Service names are **case-insensitive**.
* For orders containing multiple rows with the same Order ID, enter the Additional Services information in the **first row of the order**.
* If a service is entered without an artwork URL, that service will not be recorded.
* If the URL is invalid, BurgerPrints will display a warning so you can update it.
* If the selected service is not supported by the order, BurgerPrints will display an availability warning.

### About bulk custom branding services

Bulk custom branding is designed for branding materials that are prepared separately in larger quantities rather than being produced individually when an order is placed.

This service type will be managed separately from on-demand custom branding and is intended to provide additional branding options for sellers with recurring branding needs.

**Bulk custom branding is not yet available on BurgerPrints.**

More information about available items, service requirements, setup instructions, artwork specifications, and how branding materials are applied to orders will be added here when Bulk custom branding services become available.

### Tips and Best Practices

* **Check availability before creating your design:** custom branding services are not available for every product or fulfillment location. If a service does not appear under **Additional Services**, the order may not support that branding option.
* **Follow the artwork requirements for each item:** Dimensions, formats, templates, and other specifications may differ between branding services.
* **Review your artwork before payment:** Open the uploaded file and make sure the correct artwork is attached before placing the order.
* **Add only the services you need:** custom branding services are optional and charged separately from the base product. Review your selected services and their prices before payment.
* Gift Messages are printed in portrait orientation. If you want a landscape design, rotate your artwork before uploading it. Make sure the uploaded file still follows the required **1200 × 1800 px ratio and PNG format**. The design will be printed on the same portrait-oriented paper.

### Frequently Asked Questions

1. **What custom branding services are available?** \
   BurgerPrints currently supports:

   * Sticker 2x2
   * Sticker 3x3
   * Sticker 3x4
   * Gift Message

   Additional On-demand and Bulk custom branding services will be added gradually.
2. **Why don't I see a sticker option in Additional Services?** \
   Your order may not meet the service requirements. For the currently available sticker services, all items in the order must be fulfilled by **Matterhorn**.
3. **What happens if I enter a service without an artwork URL in CSV or API?** \
   The service will not be recorded if the required artwork URL is missing. If the URL format is invalid, BurgerPrints will display a warning so you can update it.
4. **How are custom branding services charged?** \
   Custom branding services are optional and charged separately from the base product. The fee for each service will be displayed next to the selected option under **Additional Services**. In the order summary, the custom branding fee will be combined with any other selected Additional Services and shown as a total additional service charge.
5. **Can I send a Gift Message with my order?** \
   Yes. If available, select **Gift Message** under **Additional Services** and upload your design. Messages are printed in black and white on **4 × 6 in Standard Printing Paper**, and colors will be converted to grayscale. For landscape orientation, rotate your artwork before uploading.
