Understanding the BurgerPrints' fee structure

Overview

When creating an order on the BurgerPrints system, the total cost of the order may include several types of fees, such as product base cost, printing cost, shipping fees, tracking-related services, and applicable taxes.

These costs may vary depending on factors such as the product type, fulfillment facility, shipping destination, selected shipping method, and additional services used.

This guide provides an overview of the different fees that may apply to your order and explains how each cost is calculated, helping you better understand the total order value when filling with BurgerPrints.

About BurgerPrint's fee structure

  1. Production Costs

Base Cost (Default Cost)

The base cost includes:

  • One blank product (brand-specific)

  • One print area (front, back, or sleeve)

The base cost may vary depending on:

  • The fulfillment facility selected

  • The product brand

  • The product size

For example, the same Gildan 5000 T-shirt will have different base costs between size S and size 2XL.

The base cost does not change based on product color.

Additionally, the same Gildan 5000 – size S may have different base costs when produced at different fulfillment facilities (for example, Breva vs. Matterhorn).

To view detailed pricing, go to the Catalog, search for the product, and click All Options to see the full pricing details.

Additional Printing Fees (Optional)

If you choose to print more than one area on a product, additional printing fees will apply. This includes:

  • Second-side printing

  • Sleeve printing

These fees are added on top of the base cost and are calculated per additional print area.

When creating a product, you will see the option to add designs for different print areas. If no design is added to a specific area, the system will assume that the area is not printed and no additional printing fee will be charged.

The additional printing fees will be automatically added to the product’s base cost when calculating the total price.

Priority Production (Optional)

Priority production is an optional fee that allows your order to be prioritized in the production stage.

For fulfillment facilities that do not provide early tracking by default, selecting priority production can also help ensure your order receives tracking information sooner.

  1. Shipping Costs

The shipping cost section includes all fees related to the delivery of your order.

Shipping Fee

The shipping fee is charged when you use the fulfillment facility’s chosen shipping carriers.

  • This applies to orders with one or more products.

  • You can choose different shipping options depending on the carrier, such as Economy / Standard / Express, etc., which differ in delivery speed. Please note that the price of each shipping option may vary depending on the fulfillment facility. For example, the Standard option may cost $4.99 at Denali, while the same Standard option could cost $8.99 at Vini, so it is recommended to check the shipping price for each facility before placing orders.

  • The shipping fee will increase if your order contains multiple products, as the shipping cost is calculated based on the number of items included in the order. For example, the shipping fee for the first G5000 T-shirt in an order may be $4.99, while the second item may add an additional $1.50 to the total shipping cost.

  • To optimize shipping costs, it is recommended to select products that are fulfilled by the same facility (if possible). If two products in the same order are produced at different fulfillment facilities, they will be shipped separately and calculated as two single-item shipments (e.g., $4.99 for each item) instead of being combined under the multi-item shipping calculation.

Example: An order with 2 items, each shirt printed on one side only, fulfilled by two different facilities.

Example: An order with 2 items, each shirt printed on one side only, fulfilled by the same facility.

  • The “Shipping Additional” fee applies only to products of the same type that are fulfilled by the same facility. For different product types, shipping may be calculated separately due to different packaging requirements, meaning they may be treated as separate shipments instead of being combined under the “Shipping Additional” pricing. For example, if an order contains a T-shirt and a mug, they may be packed and shipped separately due to different packaging standards, so the shipping cost may be calculated as two individual shipments instead of applying the “Shipping Additional” fee.

Label Handling Fee

The label handling fee applies when you use a marketplace’s own shipping service (for example, Ship by TikTok).

This fee covers the printing and application of shipping labels required by the marketplace’s logistics system.

  1. Taxes (If Applicable)

US Market

If you sell products to customers in the United States, you do not need to pay additional taxes on the fulfillment cost itself.

UK Market

When selling in the United Kingdom, VAT is applicable:

  • The standard VAT rate in the UK is 20%

  • If the fulfillment center is located in the UK and the order is shipped within the UK, the order must include 20% VAT.

  • This 20% is government tax, not a shipping fee or extra charge from the fulfillment facility.

EU Markets

For orders shipped within the European Union (EU), VAT rules depend on local tax laws:

  • VAT is a consumption tax applied on most goods and services within the EU. Each country sets its own standard VAT rate (often around 17–27%, e.g., 21% in many countries). (European Unionarrow-up-right)

  • Whether VAT applies to your order may vary depending on where the goods are consumed and other VAT rules in that country. (European Unionarrow-up-right)

Note: Taxes like VAT are separate from production and shipping fees and are collected on behalf of the local government.

If your order is produced within the EU and shipped within the EU, VAT will be applied according to the destination country's tax regulations and will be calculated at checkout.

If your order is produced outside the EU and shipped into the EU, the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) system may apply for orders with a value of 150 EUR or less.

If you have an IOSS number, you can enter it when placing the order. In this case, VAT will be calculated and collected at checkout under the IOSS system, meaning the tax is prepaid and the order can be cleared through customs without additional VAT charges.

  1. Additional Service Cost

ProActive Tracking serviceThe Proactive Tracking fee is an optional service designed to help sellers ensure faster tracking activation for their orders.

  • This service is highly recommended for sellers who are selling on TikTok Shop (TTS), where tracking activation time can directly impact store performance and SLA.

  • When using this service, BurgerPrints will ensure that your order’s tracking number is activated within 48 hours after the order is successfully paid on the system.

  • The Proactive Tracking fee is charged per order and does not depend on the number of items included in that order.

Total fulfillment cost

Your order total is the sum of:

  • Production costs (base cost + optional printing + priority production if selected)

  • Shipping costs (shipping fee or label handling fee if applicable)

  • Additional Service (optional)

  • Taxes where required by local regulations (e.g., UK VAT)

Frequently asked questions

  1. Does BurgerPrints add any hidden fees to orders? No. All applicable fees will be displayed clearly in the order summary before payment

  2. Why am I charged shipping twice when placing multiple items in the same location? Because the products you ordered come from different product groups that cannot be shipped in the same package. The shipping fee is charged per package, so the total amount reflects the number of packages in your order. Please check the product types you selected, or contact our support team for a clearer explanation.
