How do I check shipping fees on BurgerPrints?
Overview
This article explains how to check shipping & delivery fees for each product and location, so you can build accurate retail pricing. You learn 2 ways to review shipping fees: directly on the product detail page in the Catalog, or by downloading the SKU list to compare fees in bulk.
Shipping fees shown in the Catalog are reference rates for pricing planning purposes. Final shipping costs are calculated at checkout and may vary slightly. Peak season surcharges are not included in the Catalog rates and will be communicated separately via email before the peak period begins.
How BurgerPrints defines shipping fees
On BurgerPrints, shipping fees are defined differently depending on the product type.
For standard products, the shipping fee is the cost of delivering the package to the final delivery address. This fee is paid to the shipping carrier and covers transportation from the fulfillment location to the delivery destination.
For products with the "Label" suffix, the shipping fee is treated as a label fee. This fee covers the operational cost for the fulfillment location to manage, print, and apply the correct shipping label to each package. For some locations, this fee may also include priority production handling to help maintain active tracking and shipment performance standards.
Understanding this distinction helps you interpret shipping fees correctly when reviewing prices in the Catalog or the exported SKU list.
How To Check Shipping Fees Directly From The Catalog
Step 1: Open the SKU in the Catalog
On the Dashboard, go to Catalog.
Search for the SKU you want to check.
Open the product detail page.

Step 2: Select a fulfillment location
On the product detail page, locate the Fulfillment location section.

Review the available locations where this product can be produced.
Select a fulfillment location to:
Confirm whether this location supports shipping to your target destination.
See which shipping services are available for that destination.

After you select a fulfillment location, the Shipping destination section updates based on the selected location.
Step 3: Select a shipping destination
In Shipping destination, review these fields:
Shipping destination: The country or region you ship to
Shipping service: The shipping service package you use (Standard, Express, Priority Express)
Delivery time: The estimated delivery time. This may change during peak seasons or due to force majeure events such as carrier delays, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances
Shipping carrier: The shipping carrier used to deliver the order
Not all shipping services are available for every destination.

Step 4: Check First item and Additional item fees
After you select a destination, check:
First item: Shipping fee for 1 product
Additional item: Extra shipping fee added for each additional product in the same shipment

Shipping fees shown in the Catalog are standard reference rates and may vary slightly based on carrier updates or destination-specific surcharges.
How To Check Shipping Fees Using The SKU List Download
Step 1: Download the SKU list from the product detail page
On the product detail page, click Download SKU.

Step 2: Find shipping fees in the downloaded file
In the SKU list, shipping fee columns are organized by destination, shipping service, and item quantity type. To select the correct shipping fee, you need to understand how these factors work together.

How shipping fee columns work
Each shipping fee column corresponds to a specific combination of:
Shipping destination (where your customer’s order is delivered)
Shipping service (Economy, Standard, Express, Priority Express)
Item quantity type (1st item or Additional item)
You should always select shipping fee columns that match your customer’s actual delivery address and the shipping service you plan to offer.
Shipping fee calculation
When using the exported SKU file, shipping fee columns are listed by shipping service and item quantity type. State or destination details may be omitted in the column name.
Use the following formulas to calculate shipping costs:
Economy shipping Total shipping = 1st item Economy shipping fee + (Additional item Economy shipping fee × Additional item quantity)
Standard shipping Total shipping = 1st item Standard shipping fee + (Additional item Standard shipping fee × Additional item quantity)
Express shipping Total shipping = 1st item Express shipping fee + (Additional item Express shipping fee × Additional item quantity)
Priority Express shipping Total shipping = 1st item Priority Express shipping fee + (Additional item Priority Express shipping fee × Additional item quantity)
These formulas help you calculate shipping costs accurately based on the selected shipping service and the total number of items in the order.
Example:

You order 30 T-shirts with the Standard Shipping fee
Standard shipping: $8.89 for the first item and $2.49 for each additional item.
Total shipping = $8.89 + $2.49 × 29 = $81.20
Note:
The Additional item shipping fee applies only when all items in the order are the same product type and fulfilled by the same Location.
If an order includes different product types, products with significantly different sizes, or items fulfilled by different Locations, the 1st item shipping fee applies to each item separately.
Understand shipping services before choosing a column
Before checking shipping fees, make sure you understand the available shipping services so you can select the correct columns:
Economy shipping: The lowest-cost option, with the longest delivery time
Standard shipping: A balanced option between cost and delivery time
Express shipping: Faster delivery with higher shipping fees
Priority Express shipping: The fastest option, available only for some SKUs and destinations
Not all SKUs support all shipping services. If a shipping service is not supported, the corresponding column shows NA or na.
Understand multiple shipping columns
Shipping fees may be split into multiple columns because costs can vary by delivery address, even within the same region or country. In some markets, different postal codes or state codes can result in different shipping fees due to distance, carrier routing, or delivery complexity.
Example: United States
In the SKU list, you may see shipping columns grouped by specific US state codes, such as:
US State (AA, AE, AP, AS, GU, AK, HI, PR, PW, VI, MP) – 1st item Standard shipping fee
US State (AA, AE, AP, AS, GU, AK, HI, PR, PW, VI, MP) – Additional item Standard shipping fee
US State (AA, AE, AP, AS, GU, AK, HI, PR, PW, VI, MP) – 1st item Express shipping fee
US State (AA, AE, AP, AS, GU, AK, HI, PR, PW, VI, MP) – Additional item Express shipping fee
These state codes represent military addresses, islands, and non-continental territories. Although they are part of the United States, shipping to these locations costs more than mainland deliveries due to longer distance and limited carrier routes. Therefore, these destinations are grouped into separate shipping fee columns, and users must select shipping fees based on the exact delivery location, not just the country.
Understand NA / na values
If a cell in the SKU list shows NA or na, it means:
That shipping service is not supported for this SKU and destination, or
The selected fulfillment location does not offer shipping to that destination using that service
Do not use NA or na values for pricing calculations.
Tips and Best Practices
Always select the correct Shipping destination before you finalize your retail price. The shipping fee for the same SKU can vary by country/region, and some destinations may include additional surcharges.
Estimate shipping by order size (quantity), not just for a single item. If customers often buy 2–3 items, use this quick formula to plan bundle pricing or a free-shipping threshold: Total shipping = 1st item shipping fee + (Additional item shipping fee × Additional item quantity)
When using the SKU list, filter by location group and variant (size/color) to avoid mistakes. Shipping fees can differ by destination group and variant, so make sure you’re viewing the correct location cluster before using the numbers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do shipping fees change when I change the destination? Shipping fees depend on the shipping destination, and some destinations may include extra charges.
How do I calculate shipping for multiple items in the same order? Use: Total shipping = 1st item shipping fee + (Additional item shipping fee × Additional item quantity) This helps you forecast total shipping for bundles.
Do shipping fees change based on shipping services? They can. If you switch Shipping service, the fee and delivery time may change. Not all products support multiple shipping services. Always confirm the service you plan to offer.
